Zion National Park
One of the most visited national parks in the country, Zion is famous for its towering sandstone cliffs, the iconic Narrows hike through the Virgin River, and the switchbacking trail to Angels Landing. At about 40 minutes away, it’s an easy day trip — or come back more than once during your stay.
Bryce Canyon National Park
Famous for its otherworldly hoodoos — tall, thin spires of red, orange, and white rock — Bryce Canyon is about 90 minutes from Kanab. Sunrise and sunset at Bryce Point are not to be missed.
Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park
Just 25 minutes from Red Rock Basecamp, these vivid pink sand dunes cover more than 3,700 acres and are popular for hiking, sandboarding, and OHV riding.
Grand Canyon North Rim
Less crowded and more remote than the South Rim, the North Rim offers sweeping views and cooler temperatures thanks to its higher elevation. Plan for about a 2-hour drive.
Lake Powell & Glen Canyon
About 90 minutes away, Lake Powell offers boating, kayaking, and houseboat rentals amid dramatic red rock canyon walls.
Antelope Canyon & Horseshoe Bend
Located near Page, Arizona (roughly 1.5-2 hours from Kanab), these two iconic spots — a narrow, light-filled slot canyon and a sweeping bend in the Colorado River — are bucket-list stops for photographers.
